The Medical Innovation Technology Management group was created to provide spaces for healthcare research and growth within the Salt Lake Valley. By attracting new startups and large corporations, the Medical Innovation Technology Campus brings innovators together to collaborate, discover, and develop products and services driving healthcare forward. Through synergetic efforts, those who reside within the Medical Innovation Technology Campus can thrive among others and continue to break new ground within the healthcare industry.

Curating a Collaborative Campus for Medical Innovators

With various commercial spaces available, the Medical Innovation Technology Campus is home to a range of startup companies, medical labs, and research facilities. With four complexes, comprised of multiple buildings, this campus aims to drive collaboration within the Salt Lake Valley in proximity to The University of Utah and other healthcare giants.

Just 15 minutes from the Salt Lake International Airport, 10 minutes from Downtown Salt Lake City, and access to various arterials to Salt Lake and Utah counties, the Medical Innovation Technology Campus is a hub for companies seeking a central location in Western United States.

Management Team

President

Tanner J.M. Bowman

As President of MIT Management, Tanner J.M. Bowman is dedicated to the growth of both the company and the MIT Campus. In His role as President he oversees the MIT Team while managing the daily operations, development, leasing, maintenance, and accounting for the company's real estate holdings. Prior to joining MIT Management, Tanner served as Executive Vice President of Operations at Kensington Investment Company, where he managed commercial and residential operations, including the construction and pre-leasing of Astra Tower, a 377 high-end luxury residential unit tower in Downtown Salt Lake City. He has also held the position of Property Manager at Unico Properties and Cushman & Wakefield, where he managed over one million square feet of Class A office towers in Salt Lake City's Central Business District. Tanner received his education in Commercial Real Estate and Business Administration from Cornell University and the University of Utah.

Chief Financial Officer

Robert Arnold

As Chief Financial Officer, Robert Arnold is dedicated to the growth of the MIT Campus and the company. In His role, Robert oversees the financial responsibility of the project as a whole. Additionally, Robert works with various institutions to ensure the success and progress of the project.

Robert Arnold holds degrees in Accounting and Information Systems from Utah State University. With 18 years of experience with Wasatch Commercial Management, Robert served as the Controller and Yardi Administrator, where he also managed the construction accounting team. Dedicated to fostering leadership, Robert’s work motto is to “enable those I work with to become great leaders.” Outside of work, he enjoys spending his time fishing and golfing.

Commercial Maintenance Manager

Grant Rugg

As Commercial Maintenance Manager, Grant Rugg is dedicated to the growth of both the company and the MIT Campus. In His role as Commercial Maintenance Manager, he oversees the daily operations of the facilities and grounds of the MIT campus. In addition, Grant consistently watches for opportunities for improvements that will benefit the company and ultimately the tenants of the MIT campus, as serving his customers is Grant’s number one priority. Prior to joining MIT Management, Grant served as Chief Facilities Engineer of the Wells Fargo Center, where he managed 24 floors of the commercial office tower in Downtown Salt Lake City for 26 years. Grant is a Journeyman Electrician by trade and has extensive experience with all aspects of facility maintenance including HVAC systems, construction, plumbing, etc. Grant received his education from Salt Lake Community College and earned several specialized automation system certifications while working at Johnson Controls for 17 years.

Commercial Accountant

Anna Barton

As the Commercial Accountant at MIT Management, Anna Barton plays a role in the financial operations and property financial wellness. With a strong foundation in accounting and business administration, Anna ensures meticulous management of financial records and transactions. Before joining MIT Management, Anna worked as the Benefits Administrator at a sister company within the Wasatch Group. This experience provided her with a deep understanding of the organization’s financial practices and intricacies, which she now applies to her role at MIT Management. Anna holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Northern Michigan University, along with an MBA with an Accounting emphasis.

Hadeer Abdulrahman

As an Assistant Property Manager, Hadeer Abdulrahman supports the smooth management and operations of properties within the MIT Management portfolio. Hadeer oversees daily activities, coordinates maintenance, and enhances tenant satisfaction while managing lease administration and tenant relations. With experience as both an Assistant Property Manager and Leasing Agent, Hadeer is also studying real estate law to specialize further in the field. Their dedication and proactive approach make Hadeer a key member of the team.
