Wasatch Energy Group was launched in 2016 with the vision to generate, store and manage clean energy. Today, we are doing just that for the communities we build and revolutionizing the solar industry with “VPPs”. Even better, the community at large is benefitting from it all, too.
Our innovative approach: a Virtual Power Plant (VPP) that provides sustainable and reliable energy for the future.
A VPP is an entirely new way to store, share and manage energy. By utilizing solar energy, a VPP captures and stores power in a network of aggregated Sonnen batteries, so it can be used at any time. Since it is stored off the grid, a VPP can provide power if a utility is down. Plus, it saves money by offsetting power peaks and surges with stored energy. In addition, a VPP is shareable; an integrated hive of batteries can provide access to power from the network.
VPPs work seamlessly for everyone involved: utilities, stakeholders, investors, municipalities and the residents. Wasatch partners can take advantage of tax credits, accelerated depreciation, electrical cost savings and increased property value (through net operating income increases). Of course, everyone benefits from reducing local carbon emissions.
Meet the Soleil Energy Group.
Soleil Energy is the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) sister company to Wasatch Energy Group. It designs, builds and maintains our solar projects. Soleil Premier Power (SPP) is the holding company that Wasatch Energy Group will use to pool various Wasatch solar projects into a full-service holding company where SPP will be the asset manager
